Job Summary
The Key Account Manager will play a vital role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to drive growth in European and international markets. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, managing sales processes, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies targeting European and international defense, security, and agriculture markets.
- Build and maintain partnerships with ministries of defense, armed forces, government agencies, and agricultural manufacturers.
- Lead business development efforts, managing the sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute compelling sales campaigns and represent the company at industry fairs and conferences.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to support sales initiatives.
- Enhance market visibility through targeted branding and outreach efforts.
- Support strategic planning activities, including bid preparation, pricing strategies, and proposal development.
- Provide data-driven insights and visualizations to aid decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain productive relationships.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of international sales experience, preferably in defense, technology, or agriculture sectors.
- In-depth understanding of procurement structures in military and public sectors, especially in Europe and international markets.
- Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense requirements, TACOM, and Ground Vehicle Systems Center.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
- High level of self-motivation, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience in the defense or agriculture industries.
- Fluency in German and English (additional languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Slavic languages, are a plus).
Working Conditions
- Frequent domestic and international travel (up to 75%).
